watch out, it's a plant!

I am loving Jennilee's botanophobia photo series over on Vancouver Is Awesome.

It's amazing how creepy plants can get.

Then again, there are a few books, movies and, um, broadway musicals about scary plants: Little Shop of Horrors starred a venus fly trap that fed on human blood, and The Day of the Triffids is about some mean plants that walk and eat meat. We had the latter movie on a Beta tape (!) when I was little; the label was carefully marked with the warning: "NOT FOR KIDS".
