the colour of the earth

At first glance, The Global Tree seems similar to some other lovely colour swatch blogs I've recently come across. But this project is not only about colour, it's about our world...

As part of an interactive design project, each day for the next year a new leaf will be added to The Global Tree. Each new leaf will be a different shade of green. The colors will be sampled from selected photos that represent a unique part of the world. As this project unfolds, I hope to promote environmental sustainability.

Combining beautiful photos and colour palettes with information about the world and sustainability (did you know that Denmark's Island of Samso is the most energy independent place on earth?), The Global Tree is a great way to get inspired in more ways than one.
